God created us in His image to know Him. But sin entered the world, separating us from God — and the result was death.

Yet God’s love was greater: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, sin and death are defeated. What once separated us is now restored — we can know God and have eternal life.
